| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Our most popular and versatile ATF, D4 is suitable for use where Dexron III, Dexron II, or Mercon fluids are recommended. D4 ATF is designed to satisfy the improved low-temperature requirements which will be in the new Dexron IV specification, and the improved shear-stability requirements which will be part of the new Mercon specifications. D4 ATF also provides a GL-4 level of gear protection, making it a superior product for transmissions and transaxles like the Corvette's T-56. The balanced frictional characteristics provide smooth and consistent shifts for extended drain intervals. The superior stability compared to petroleum ATFs allows high-temperature operation without varnishing valves and clutches which leads to transmission failure. Its stability allows high-temperature operation without varnishing valves and clutches. Also provides improved shifting in cold weather.

| Customer Reviews: Chevy 3500 with 320,000 miles, and a lot of the miles pulling a horse trailer. October 6, 2007 Tim Mccartney (Elmira, OR) I have used Red Line Synthetic D4 Automatic Transmission Fluid in my
Chevy 3500 for 320,000 miles and alot of this is pulling a 42 foot Sliverado 4 horse trailer with liveing quarters-heavy as in wieght.
I change the fluid at + or - 30,000 miles, the transmission has never been worked on, so I say it works.
Good stuff, but pricey July 6, 2010 linus_nc (NC) I take off one star for the price. I just bought this red line atf because it has a good reputation for power steering fluid among BMW owners. BMW uses ATF fluid for power steering. Seems to work pretty good although I don't notice a difference in how the steering feels compared to much cheaper stuff.
